Trash and Recycling Service Update for Ebensburg Borough
Pro Disposal, Inc. has been selected as the new provider for trash and recycling services in Ebensburg Borough, effective January 2018. The following details outline the new schedule and requirements for residents.
Collection Schedule
- South of High Street: Trash and recycling are collected on Thursdays.
- North of High Street: Trash and recycling are collected on Fridays.
- Residents will have both trash and recycle collected on the same day.
Extra Bag Service
- Pro Disposal offers an extra bag service for $2 per bag.
- These bags can be picked up at the Borough office.
Recycling Requirements
The Ebensburg Borough Recyclable Collection Program requires all residents in single-family and multi-family dwellings (two and three units) to recycle.
Placement Instructions:
- Containers must be placed at the curb by 6:00 am on the scheduled collection day.
- If there is no curb, place containers next to the roadway or berm.
Holiday Schedule:
- If a holiday falls during the week of your scheduled pickup, collection will be moved to the next day.
- There is Saturday pickup available.
- Holidays falling on a weekend do not affect the weekly schedule.
Accepted Recyclables
The following materials are accepted for recycling:
- Glass Containers
- Aluminum Cans
- Steel and Bi-metallic Cans
- Plastics (#1 through #7)
- Cardboard (cereal/food boxes, gift boxes, etc. )
- Corrugated Boxes (moving/packing boxes, etc. )
- Newspaper
Electronics Recycling
The Solid Waste Authority in Ebensburg, PA accepts electronics for recycling.
- Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
