Lake Rowena
Fishing in Cambria County, from its many lakes and streams, is tough to beat.
Located right in Ebensburg, Lake Rowena’s stocked waters provide an excellent spot for young and old anglers. Boats with electric motors are permitted.
Pavilion rentals are also available at Lake Rowena for parties, reunions, etc. View the rental form here.
A short walk will take you to one of two borough-owned reservoirs. No boats are permitted.
Boat fishing is permitted on four excellent lakes in the area; Yellow Creek to the west, Prince Gallitzin State Park to the north, Curwensville Lake further to the north, and Lake Raystown to the east.
Howell’s Run and Bobs Creek feature some of the best trout fishing in western Pennsylvania.
Overview
This document is a rental application form for the Ebensburg Borough Department of Recreation. It outlines the process for reserving facilities such as gyms, community rooms, swimming pools, and pavilions at Lake Rowena.
Application Requirements
To complete the rental request, applicants must provide:
- Contact Information: Name, street address, city, zip code, email address, home phone, and cell phone.
- Event Details: Specific date(s) requested and the time of the event.
- Location Selection: Applicants must check a box for one of the following locations:
- YPCC Half Gym
- YPCC Full Gym
- YPCC Community Room
- Ebensburg Swimming Pool (requires specifying the number of swimmers)
- Pavilion at Lake Rowena (requires specifying the number: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5)
Fees and Payment
- Pavilion Cost: The cost for a pavilion rental is $125 for the day.
- Payment Timing: All fees must be paid at the time of application/reservation.
Rules and Responsibilities
Pavilion Specifics:
- Garbage: All garbage cans must be emptied, and additional bags placed in the dumpster. Failure to do so results in a $25 forfeiture of the cleaning security deposit.
- Duration: Pavilion rentals are for the entire day.
Access and Timing (YPCC and Pools):
- Early Access: Reserved areas are available 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
- Departure: Attendees must leave no later than 30 minutes after the scheduled end time.
- Overtime Fee: Any earlier setup or later cleanup requires an additional $25 fee.
Setup and Cleanup:
- Staff will assist with retrieving tables and chairs at the YPCC.
- The Event Organizer is responsible for placing all trash and debris into dumpsters at the YPCC, Pool, and Pavilion locations.
Liability:
- By signing the contract, the organizer agrees to indemnify YPCC and its employees for any damages, loss, or injury.
- A security deposit of $50 (or $25 for pavilions) will be forfeited if property is lost or damaged.
Cancellations:
- Full Refund: Cancellations must be received at least two weeks prior to the reservation date.
- Partial Refund: Cancellations received less than two weeks prior result in a 50% refund.
