Art in Bloom Spring Art Show Application

Event Overview

The 28th Annual Art in Bloom Spring Art Show is scheduled for April 25 & 26, 2026. The event will be held at the Cambria County Courthouse (200 South Center Street, Ebensburg, PA) and is hosted by the Ebensburg Main Street Partnership (EMP).

Application Details

Artists may submit up to two entries per artist. Each entry costs $10. 00.

• Size Limit: Artwork must not exceed 36" in height or width.
• Framing: Framed artwork must be wired and ready for hanging. Dimensional pieces must fit through a doorway or be under 36" wide.
• Submission Deadline: Applications and fees must be received by Friday, April 3, 2026.

Artwork Categories

Submissions are accepted in the following categories:

• Painting: Oil, Acrylic, Watercolor, etc.
• Drawing: Charcoal, pencil, pastels, pen & ink, etc.
• Traditional Photography: May be enhanced but must look like a traditional photo.
• Dimensional: Sculpture, Fiber Art, Ceramics.
• Mixed Media: Combination of two or more mediums (e. g. , painting/drawing with digital software).

Awards & Prizes

An independent juror will determine the winners for three awards across five categories:

• 1st Place: $100
• 2nd Place: $75
• Honorable Mention: $50

Additional awards include:

• Best of Show: $125
• People's Choice: $75

The Mayor of Ebensburg will also present three special awards:

• Mayor’s Choice (Artwork inspired by the town of Ebensburg)
• Mayor’s Overall Favorite
• Mayor’s Honorable Mention

Schedule of Events

• Thursday, April 23: Hand deliver artwork to the Courthouse between 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm.
• Saturday, April 25:
  • 12 pm - 6 pm: Exhibit open to the public.
• Sunday, April 26:
  • 11 am - 4 pm: Exhibit open to the public.
  • 4:30 pm - 5 pm: Artwork pick-up from the Courthouse.

Important Guidelines

• Originality: Artwork must be original and created by the person entering. No wet pieces are allowed.
• Display: All pieces must remain on display for the duration of the show (Thursday–Sunday).
• Hanging Requirements: Artwork must be properly framed, wired, and ready for hanging. Screw eyes/D-rings must be used on each side of the frame with wire attached 1/3 of the way down. No sawtooth hangers, staples, or duct tape.
• Liability: The EMP and County of Cambria are not responsible for damaged, lost, or stolen items.
• Sales: If artwork is marked "For Sale," contact information will be shared with interested buyers.
