Pledge of Allegiance Recited at the start of the meeting. B. Public Comments None received. C. Executive Session Entered at 5:04 PM to discuss a personnel matter. Reopened to public at 5:31 PM. E. New Business Chief of Police Retirement & Position Details Long-time Chief Terry Wyland announced retirement effective July 1, 2023 . Council had previously approved public advertising for the position but had not set salary range or residency requirements. Motions Passed Unanimously: Salary Range: Ms. Jacoby moved to set annual salary between $70,000 and $80,000 (seconded by Ball). Residency Requirement: Ms. Jacoby moved that the new Chief must reside within 15 air miles of the Municipal Building within one year of employment (seconded by Owatt). N. Media Comments/Questions None received. O. Public Comments None received. P. Adjournment Mr. Owatt moved to adjourn (seconded by Houser). Motion passed unanimously. Meeting Adjourned at 5:35 PM. All motions were approved without opposition.
