Meeting Overview

The Ebensburg Municipal Authority is holding its regular monthly meeting on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 4:00 p. m. The meeting will be held at the Borough office located at 300 West High Street, Ebensburg, PA.

Agenda Highlights

Consent Agenda (Items 10A-10C)

The following routine items are grouped for a single motion approval:

• Minutes: Approval of the minutes from the May 2024 regular monthly meeting.
• Financials: Approval of the Financial Statement for May 2024.
• Bills: Approval of payment for bills totaling $153,938. 36 for June 2024.

Inframark Reports (Item 5)

• Wastewater Treatment Plant: Luke Byrne will provide a report on projects and activities at the wastewater plant.
• Water Treatment Plant: Luke Byrne will provide a report on projects and activities at the water plant.
• Action: No action required for these reports.

Operations & Maintenance (Item 6)

• Josh Surkovich will report on the public works department’s activities for the month.
• Action: No action required.

Engineer Reports (Item 8)

The Engineer will review several items contained in the report:

• Water Line Replacement (Item 8A): A contractor payment request for Guyer Brothers is recommended for approval in the amount of $555,449. 09.
• Pennvest Requisition (Item 8B): A requisition for Pennvest loan number 82248 is prepared in the amount of $555,449. 09. However, the recommended action is to approve requisition #4 for contract 82248 in the amount of $884,330. 80.
• Change Order #2 (Item 8C): This change order involves replacing a valve vault and adding two meters near the end of Ann Street at a cost of $194,678. 51. The Financing Authority has not yet approved utilizing the Ogden tank for this cost. Staff recommends no action until funding is secured.
• Stormwater Projects (Item 8D): An Engineering Services Amendment #1 is prepared in the amount of $22,230. 31 due to increased utility location costs and easement services. Approval is recommended.

General Business (Item 10)

• Minutes: Review and approval of previous meeting minutes.
• Financial Statement: Approval of the May 2024 financial statement.
• Bills: Approval of payment for June bills totaling $153,938. 36.

Other Items

• Public Comments: Invited at the beginning and end of the meeting.
• Media Comments/Questions: Invited during Item 11.
• Executive Session: Will be held to receive advice from counsel.
