Agenda Highlights

Consent Agenda (Item 2)

The following routine items are proposed for approval via a single motion:

• Minutes: Approval of the minutes from the August 16, 2021 meeting.
• Financial Statement: Approval of the Financial Statement for August 2021.
• Bills: Approval of payment of bills for September 2021.

Engineer & Stormwater Issues (Item 8)

The Engineer will present findings regarding stormwater runoff issues. Specific motions include:

• Investigation Approval (Item 10A): Approve Stiffler-McGraw to conduct further investigation for remedies in Area 1 (200 block of E. Horner) and Area 3 (Near intersection of N. Beech, N. Julian).
  • Estimated costs: $4,561. 00 for Area 1 and $14,389. 00 for Area 3.
• Work Approval (Item 10B): Approve staff to receive quotes and approve work at Area 2 (Near 720 N. Beech) and Area 4 (Near 402 S. Julian).
  • Estimated projected costs: $7,700 for Area 2 and $8,800 for Area 4.

General Business (Item 10)

• Stormwater Issues due to Ida: Discussion of stormwater issues within the Borough caused by Hurricane Ida.
• Budget and Rates: Discussion regarding the budget and rates for 2022.
• Bills: A list of bills totaling $98,329. 71 for September is submitted for approval.

Reports

• Inframark: Mike Montgomery will report on Wastewater Treatment Plant Operations, and Luke Byrne will report on Water Treatment Plant Operations.
• Operations & Maintenance: Jeff Evans will report on public works department activities.
