Meeting Overview The Ebensburg Recreation Board held its monthly meeting on September 10, 2025, at the Ebensburg Borough building. The meeting was called to order at 6:38 PM by Samantha Kemock and adjourned at 7:15 PM. Attendance: Present: Samantha Kemock, Rebecca Williamson, and Melanie Keller. Absent: Theresa Jacoby, Phil Woo, Rory Coleman, Susan Kuhar, Amber Mesoras, and Ashley Bobby. Operational Updates (Old Business) Youth Performing Center for the Creative Arts (YPCC) Roof Repair: Scheduled for October 28–November 3. The project is being completed by Sports Interior. Bingos: Registration is filling quickly, with a waitlist already forming for 2027. Halloween Vendor Show: Currently in the planning phase. Six vendors have submitted applications, including two food trucks and a bounce house provider. Volunteers have been secured from SFU and CCHS. Pool Dog Party: The recent event was a success, with over 40 dogs participating. The Recreation Department collected $130 and food donations for the Cambria County Humane Society. Maintenance: The pool is drained and being maintained by the Recreation Director (RD) to reduce debris. Large umbrellas were removed and stored, and the zero-entry end was painted to remove summer staining. Winterization: The pool house is scheduled to be winterized the week of September 25. Renovations: Kelly Cook is applying for an Amler Grant to assist with exterior and interior pool renovations. Tennis Center The RD is monitoring conversations between Jamie Taylor and the SFU coach regarding a transition from D1-D3 in 2027. New Business Memorial Fields/Lake: Maintenance will handle winterization within the next 1–2 weeks. Porta johns will be ordered for the lake area.
