Ebensburg Recreation Board Meeting Summary (October 8, 2025) The monthly meeting of the Ebensburg Recreation Board was called to order at 6:30 PM by Ashley Bobby at the Ebensburg Borough building. Attendance Present: Amber Mesoras, Rebecca Williamson, Melanie Keller, and Ashley Bobby. Absent: Theresa Jacoby, Phil Woo, Rory Coleman, Susan Kuhar, and Sam Kemock. Visitors: None. Administrative Updates Minutes: The August minutes were reviewed and approved by Ashley Bobby. Appointments: No new appointments to the board were made. Financials: The October 2025 financial report was marked as N/A. Old Business & Project Updates YPCC (Youth and Public Community Center) Roof Repair: Scheduled for October 28–November 3. The project is being completed by Sports Interior. Bingos: Registration is filling quickly, with a waitlist already forming for 2027. Halloween Vendor Show: Currently in the planning phase. Eight vendors have applied, two food trucks are secured, and a bounce house is arranged. Volunteers have been recruited from SFU and CCHS. Pool Winterization: The pool house and pool have been successfully winterized. Amler Grant: The deadline for this grant is October 24th. RD (Recreation Director) has obtained six letters of support for the application. Tennis Center SFU Transition: RD will continue to monitor conversations between Jamie Taylor and the SFU coach regarding the transition from D1-D3 in 2027. Memorial Fields/Lake Winterization: Completed at both Memorial Fields and the Lake. Two porta-johns are currently located at the lake. Bathroom Door: The men’s bathroom door is scheduled to be installed at Memorial Fields within the next month. Ballfield Grant: The board is awaiting notification regarding a grant for the remaining ballfields. EYL has stated they are prepared to cover the cost of the McDonald’s field if the borough is denied the grant. Meeting Adjournment The meeting was adjourned at 7:17 PM.
