Ebensburg Borough Recreation Board Meeting Agenda

Opening Procedures

The meeting agenda begins with a call to order and the Pledge of Allegiance. The board will hear public comments on agenda items, allow attendees to address the Recreation Board, and approve the minutes from the July 2025 meeting.

Old Business Updates

• YPCC:
  • Roof repairs are scheduled for October 28 through November 3.
  • The next bingo event is set for September 19, 2025.
• Pool:
  • A dog party was held on September 6, 2025; proceeds were donated to the Cambria County Humane Society.
  • Plans are in place to have the pool cleaned and painted by September 12, with winterization scheduled for September 25.
  • Cleanup efforts in the creek are still pending.
• Memorial Ballfields:
  • Security alarms and locks have been installed on the concession stand door, bathrooms, and shed. The men's room door requires repair or replacement to ensure it closes automatically; this is an ongoing issue.
  • A grant application is still pending. Notifications regarding the grant are expected between September and October 2025.
  • EYL and ESA have requested that the remaining two ball fields be crowned with proper drainage added. A meeting to discuss these plans occurred on August 7, 2025, pending the grant award.

New Business

• YPCC:
  • A Halloween Party is scheduled for Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
  • Billy Clapper from IMG will hold a youth basketball clinic on October 16, 2025.
  • Information for the 2026 Winter Basketball season has been released.
• Pool:
  • Kelly Cook is currently applying for an Amler grant to fund repairs at the pool.
