Ebensburg Borough Recreation Board Agenda (June 10, 2026) Opening Procedures Call to order and Pledge of Allegiance. Public comments on agenda items. Attendees to address the Recreation Board. Approval of minutes from the May 2026 meeting. Old Business Updates 1. Lake Grant Lighting and Security: The Borough manager is currently evaluating other options. Concession Stand: A request for bid was developed by GFT and posted on May 8, 2026. Bids will be collected on June 18th at noon. Plans for the stand have been approved. Playground 1: Designated for ages 5–12 years old. Pedestrian Bridge: Listed as an item for discussion. 2. Pool Operations Amler Grant: The new deadline is October 2026. Board members suggested improving the play area. Events: Theme days and crafts are scheduled for Fridays. Safety Program: The "Why Drown" program is set for June 11th. Swim Team Contract: A contract was developed with Kickboard Consulting/YPCC Swim Team to utilize the pool after hours during the summer for practice. This contract was approved by the council. 3. Memorial Ballfields Status: McDonalds Field and First Energy Fields are completed. Reimbursement: RD has submitted the necessary paperwork for reimbursement. New Business YPCC (Young People's Christian Center) Pickleball: Lessons will be offered both indoor and outdoor. Camps: Steam Camp/RV activities are planned.
