Meeting Overview

The Ebensburg Municipal Authority is holding its regular monthly meeting on Monday, March 25, 2024, at 4:00 p. m. The meeting will take place at the Borough office located at 300 West High Street, Ebensburg, PA.

Agenda Highlights

Routine Business (Consent Agenda)

The following items are considered routine and will be acted upon by a single motion unless a member requests separate discussion:

  • Approval of the minutes from the February 2024 regular monthly meeting.
  • Approval of the Financial Statement for February 2024.
  • Approval of payment of bills totaling $137,661. 12 for March 2024.

Infrastructure Reports

  • Wastewater Treatment Plant: Luke Byrne will provide a report on projects and activities at the wastewater plant.
  • Water Treatment Plant: Luke Byrne will provide a report on projects and activities at the water plant.
  • Operations & Maintenance: Josh Surkovich will report on public works department activities for the month.

Financial and Engineering Updates

  • Pennvest Requisition: A requisition has been prepared for Pennvest loan number 82248 in the amount of $10,752. 57. The Authority is asked to approve this requisition for contract 82248.
  • H2O Grant Application: The Authority previously received a grant award of $187,250 for the Ogden Tank Mixing System but did not accept it. Following discussions with a State Representative, staff is investigating the possibility of redirecting these funds to another water-related project within budget constraints.

Other Business

  • Solicitor: The solicitor will provide an update.
  • Engineer: The engineer will review items contained in their report.
  • Executive Session: An executive session will be held to receive advice from counsel.

Public Participation

  • Public Comments: Members of the public are invited to comment on any agenda item during the designated time.
  • Media: Representatives of the media are invited to comment and ask questions on any issues.
