Ebensburg Borough Certification & Leadership

• Sustainable Community Status: Ebensburg Borough has been certified as a "Gold Level Sustainable Community" by the Pennsylvania Municipal League and Sustainable Pittsburgh. This recognition is based on meeting rigorous criteria across 131 policies, including community design, energy efficiency, and waste reduction.
• New Borough Manager: Ms. Kelly Cook has been hired as the new Borough Manager, replacing Dan Penatzer who retired after 24 years. Ms. Cook previously served as Township Manager for Tobyhanna and Kingston Townships and City Administrator for Lower Burrell.

Community Projects & Safety

• Skate Park Initiative: A committee is raising funds to build a 5,000-square-foot concrete skate park near the Ebensburg Swimming Pool. The estimated cost is $225,000. Donations can be made via GoFundMe or by check to the Young Peoples Community Center.
• Historic Marker: The historic Ebensburg Keystone Marker, originally from the 1920s, has been restored and placed back on display.
• Secure Drop Box: A secure payment and document drop box will be installed on the front steps of the Ebensburg Municipal Building next month.

Events: Concerts in the Park

The following concerts are presented by the Ebensburg Main Street Partnership at Penn Eben Park from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
