Ebensburg Recreation Board Meeting Summary
Date: January 9, 2024 Location: The YPCC and via Zoom
Attendance
- Present: Dirk Johnson (Rec. Director), Diane Hoffman, Phil Woo, and Jamie Oravec.
- Absent: Rory Coleman, Theresa Jacoby, Kristen McRoberts, and Samantha Kemock.
Key Decisions & Updates
- Meeting Minutes: The minutes from the September 2023 meeting were reviewed and approved.
- Financial Report: The financial report for January through December 2023 was not available at the time of the meeting.
Old Business
- Winter Fest 2024: The event has been cancelled due to warm weather and unfavorable forecasts.
- Nerf Gun Battle: No updates were provided, though Jamie Oravec noted that inflatable barriers are available for use.
- YPCC Logo: The board is still waiting on proofs for the logo update.
New Business
- WinterFest 2024 Suggestions: Dirk Johnson requested ideas for additional activities. Jamie Oravec suggested asking the NCRC to rent or borrow ice skates and proposed hosting an evening skate with music and party lights.
