The Ebensburg Municipal Authority is holding its regular monthly meeting on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 4:00 p. m. The meeting will take place at the Borough office located at 300 West High Street, Ebensburg, PA.

Agenda Highlights

Elections and Appointments (Items 1–7)

The agenda includes the election of officers for the upcoming term. The following individuals are currently serving in their respective roles:

• Chairperson: Mr. McMullen
• Vice-Chairperson: Mr. Rummel
• Secretary/Treasurer: Ms. Martin-Nagle

The Authority will also address the appointment of key service providers:

• Solicitor: Calvin (C. J. ) Webb is recommended for appointment.
• Engineer: Stiffler-McGraw Associates is currently serving in this role.
• Depository: First National Bank is currently serving as the depository.

Consent Agenda (Item 9)

Routine items will be approved via a single motion unless a member requests separate discussion. These include:

• Approval of minutes from the December 19, 2022 meeting.
• Approval of the Financial Statement for December 2022.
• Approval of bill payments.

Operations and Reports (Items 12–13)

• Inframark: Mike Montgomery will report on Wastewater Treatment Plant operations, and Luke Byrne will report on Water Treatment Plant operations.
• Operations & Maintenance: Josh Surkovich will provide a report on the public works department’s activities for the month.

General Business (Item 17)

• Financials: The financial statement for December 2021 is submitted for approval.
• Bills: A list of bills for January is submitted for approval.
• Property at 747 North Julian: Staff has discovered that a house was constructed on top of an existing stormwater pipe, which may need replacement. The Authority is considering an appraisal of the property at this time.

H2O Grant Application (Item 15)

The Engineer will review Resolution #2202-10 regarding the application for an H2O grant. The recommended action is to approve Resolution #2202-08, which authorizes the Authority to apply for a grant of $2,151,586. 00 for Area C of the Stormwater plan under the H2O Program.
