Ebensburg Borough Council Achievements in 2022 The council and staff completed numerous projects throughout the year, including: Installation of trees on W. Horner Street, W. Crawford Street, and W. Sample Street Milling and resurfacing streets in the northwest quadrant of town Replacement of a police cruiser Purchase of line painting equipment for the airport and pursuit of grants for building repairs/maintenance Support for Municipal Authority’s water line replacement project on High Street ($1,265,610 grant) Administration and closure of DCED Façade Improvement Grant program; application for new $50,000 funding round Completion of hiring search for new public works director and transition to qualified candidates Maintenance of gold certification in PA Sustainable Community Program Negotiation of new 4-year labor agreement with AFSCME Oversight of “Welcome to Ebensburg” mural installation at Lake Rowena entrance New Businesses Welcome Three new businesses have opened in Ebensburg: Great Vintage Picks – Sports Cards & Hobby, located at 3135 New Germany Road, Suite 25.
