Ebensburg WWTP Monthly Report - October 2023 Report Date: November 20, 2023 Prepared by: Luke Byrne, Plant Manager (Inframark) Submitted to: Ebensburg Borough Authority Members Executive Summary During October 2023, the Ebensburg wastewater treatment plant treated 15,697,600 gallons of wastewater — averaging 506,374 gallons per day . All operational and testing requirements were met. Key activities included: Centrifuge operated weekly; 6. 603 tons of dry sludge sent to landfill. Stutzman hauled 54,200 gallons of sludge from Somerset Co. Water system into drying beds. Kone Cranes performed annual hoist inspections. Staff installed two rebuilt mixers in SBR tanks and fabricated new stainless-steel lifting cables. Screening unit repaired locally for ~$1,900 (vs. $46,000 quote from pumpman). Trojan replaced burnt-out UV bulbs and one ballast; UV system now at 100% functionality. Generator maintenance plan developed after discovering lack of recent servicing. Transfer switch at Emerald Estates lift station found non-operational during generator start-up — manufacturer contacted, working with Dodson Electric for repair.
