Ebensburg Municipal Authority WWTP Monthly Report (September 2025) Report Date: October 27, 2025 Prepared by: Luke Byrne, Project Manager, Inframark Water Infrastructure Operations Executive Summary The Ebensburg wastewater treatment plant treated 15,721,500 gallons of wastewater in September — averaging 524,050 gallons per day . The centrifuge ran once; 8 tons of dry sludge were sent to landfill. Staff cleaned out drying beds, which are now ready for filling in 2026. Tracy notified Somerset Water Authority about coordinating hauled sludge deliveries for October. New limit switches were installed on the UV hoist after old ones corroded and failed during 2025 crane inspections. An electrical connection was replaced to fix moisture issues. One power outage occurred in September — a trend noted over the past year. Inframark is working with Penelec to install monitoring equipment to diagnose recurring outages. Dodson Electric helped decommission 10 MCC buckets no longer in service. Inframark partnered with a local fabricator to save ~$10,000 on centrifuge liners: factory price was $13,264; secured same product for $3,360. UV intensity recorded daily. Composite samples collected. All data entered into WIMS daily for E-DMR reporting. Monthly reports sent to DEP electronically by 28th. Compliance Note: All September samples compliant except one TSS sample missed by contracted lab. Inframark requested formal explanation from lab; PA DEP notified. Plant Operations Highlights: Inspected Industrial Park and Emerald Estates pump stations. Daily screening unit cleanouts; grit removal optimization. Sludge pumped to digesters for thickening; decanted to allow more thickening. Centrifuge operations, polymer feed system optimized. Floating debris removed from SBR tanks; aeration cycles optimized.
