Ebensburg Municipal Authority: March 2026 WTP Monthly Report

Executive Summary & Plant Performance
- Water Production: The Ebensburg water treatment plant treated a total of 35,678,000 gallons in March 2026. This averages to 1,150,903 gallons per day.
- Purchased Water: An average of 105,757 gallons per day was purchased from Saltlick and blended into the system. This volume was higher than normal because Nanty Glo was purchasing water from Ebensburg.
- Nanty Glo Supply: Ebensburg supplied water to Nanty Glo until March 3rd. Purchases resumed from March 9th through the 16th.
- Reservoir Levels: The upper reservoir water level is currently down 3. 5 feet from full pool level.
- Award: The plant was selected to receive the prestigious Area Wide Optimization Program award for 2025 plant performance. It was one of only 12 plants in Pennsylvania to receive this honor. Inframark employees Anthony Perott and Joseph Pompa attended the ceremony in State College on March 23rd.
Operations & Maintenance
- Compliance: All turbidity readings (2,976 collected) and contaminant levels were within compliance limits.
- Maintenance Work: Staff completed 82 work orders in March, including:
- Fire extinguisher and ladder inspections.
- Sump pump exercises.
- Painting the lab floor.
- Replacing the raw water pH probe.
- Cleaning DAF units, clarifier troughs, and facility areas.
- Greasing clarifier drives and finished water pumps/motors.
- Upcoming Projects:
- Coordination with Greenland Construction for upper reservoir intake valve repairs.
- Completing the five-year recertification of the risk and resilience assessment with Borough staff.
- Blending emergency response plans into a single document for the WTP and distribution system.
- Issues Identified: An electrical panel in the newly installed Anne Street vault was found to be open, moist, and lacking a proper waterproof cover. A lock has been installed to prevent unauthorized access.
