Ebensburg Municipal Authority: February 2026 WTP Monthly Report Date: March 23rd, 2026 Submitted by: Luke Byrne, Inframark Executive Summary During February 2026, the Ebensburg water treatment plant treated a total of 34,716,000 gallons of reservoir water. This equates to an average daily production of 1,239,857 gallons . Water Purchases: An average of 111,357 gallons per day were purchased from Saltlick and blended into the distribution system. This volume was higher than normal due to Nanty Glo purchasing water. Nanty Glo Supply: On February 24th, Nanty Glo began buying water at a rate of 150 GPM. Filter Evaluation: A quarterly evaluation of Filter #1 was conducted on February 9th. The troughs, filter media, and air scour system were found to be in excellent condition with no deficiencies or anomalies. Maintenance: Staff replaced a failing pH probe on the raw water line. Water Quality: Annual PFAS samples were collected with no detectable results. Reservoir Status: The upper reservoir water level is currently 7 feet below full pool level. Construction Delays: Weather conditions have delayed Greenland Construction from working on the upper reservoir intake valves. A downed tree also needs removal to gain access to the intake. Community Engagement: Inframark hosted a tour of the WTP facility for the Saint Francis University Environmental Engineering class. Operations & Compliance Reporting: Monthly compliance reports (Monthly Operating Report) containing over 20,000 data points were submitted to the PA DEP. Monitoring: Turbidity levels were continuously monitored for each filter, with 2,688 readings collected in February; all were in compliance. Primary and secondary contaminant levels were monitored with no exceedances of maximum contaminant levels. Instrumentation: Online and lab instruments were calibrated to meet PA DEP requirements. Comparative grab samples were collected to ensure the accuracy of continuous chlorine analyzers, turbidimeters, and pH analyzers. Plant Production: Daily production fluctuated between 1,197,000 and 1,288,000 gallons. Routine Tasks: Daily process control analysis, backwash flow monitoring, clarifier sludge content checks, and chemical feed adjustments were performed. Maintenance & Repair Inframark staff completed 82 work orders in February, including: Fire extinguisher and ladder inspections. Sump pump exercises. Painting of the lab floor. Replacement of the raw water pH probe. Cleaning of the DAF unit, clarifier troughs, and facility. Eye wash/safety shower inspections. Greasing of clarifier drives and finished water pumps/motors. Chlorine room alarm test. Weekly cleaning of pH and turbidity meters. DAF sump level sensor verifications. Monitoring of filter bed expansion. Financial Update Maintenance Expenditures: Ace Hardware: $218. 25 for fittings/tubing for frozen water line repairs. Long Barn: $156. 45 for water line fittings. Personnel have worked 2,220 days (6 years and 2 months) without an accident or injury. Ongoing safety activities include weekly tailgate meetings, safety flash reports, and weekly process control meetings.
