Ebensburg Municipal Authority: January 2026 WTP Monthly Report Date: February 23, 2026 Prepared by: Luke Byrne, Inframark Executive Summary & Operations During January 2026, the Ebensburg water treatment plant (WTP) treated a total of 35,913,000 gallons of reservoir water. This averages to approximately 1,158,484 gallons per day . Additionally, an average of 62,733 gallons per day were purchased from Saltlick and blended into the distribution system. Water Quality: First-quarter disinfection by-product samples were collected at sites 700 Mini mall and 701 Airport. Both samples were found to be under the Maximum Contaminant Level (MCL) for Haloacetic acids and Trihalomethanes. Infrastructure & Maintenance: Comcast installed a new modem at the WTP facility; SCADA systems were monitored to ensure no impact. A windstorm downed several trees across the upper reservoir access road. While most debris was cleared, one tree remains hung on an old utility pole near a mine air shaft. Inframark is coordinating with the borough to confirm lines are de-energized before removal. On January 10th, the facility experienced a power outage but shut down properly without equipment failure. Weather conditions have delayed Greenland Construction from working on the upper reservoir intake valves. Reservoir Status: The upper reservoir water level is currently down 8 feet from full pool level. Financial Update Maintenance Expenditures: Inframark staff completed 69 work orders in January. Key expenditures included: Ace Hardware: $220. 55 (Electrical/lighting/painting/hardware) Harbor Freight: $207. 61 (Bin organizer/grinder wheels/extension cord) Wal-Mart: $112. 40 (SD cards for Turbidimeters/DEP binders) The Home Depot: $146. 31 (Plumbing/toilet repair/lab sink) Tractor Supply: $81. 05 (Chainsaw chain/fuel additive/hardware bolts) Budget Caps: Maintenance Cap: Total spent this month was $767. 92, leaving a remaining balance of $25,896. 20 against an annual contract total of $26,664. 12. Chemical Cap: Total spent this month was $14,908. 05, leaving a remaining balance of $81,082. 71 against an annual contract total of $95,990. 76. Personnel & Safety Safety Record: There were no accidents in January. Personnel have worked 2,192 days (6 years and 1 month) without an accident or injury. Training: Weekly tailgate meetings, safety flash reports, and process control meetings are ongoing.
