Johnstown Open 2026 application

Event Overview

The Johnstown Open Tennis Tournament is scheduled for June 26, 27, and 28, 2026. The event is organized by the Greater Johnstown Tennis Association (GJTA) and will be held at the Ebensburg Tennis Center in Ebensburg, PA.

Registration Details

• Deadline: June 22, 2026.
• Payment: Checks must be made payable to GJTA and mailed with the registration form. No phone entries are accepted.
• Cost: $35 for the first event and $25 for a second event.
• Requirements: Players must bring one new can of Penn Championship Extra Duty tennis balls per event.

Tournament Rules & Information

• Membership: USTA membership is not required to enter.
• Scoring: Matches consist of the first two sets. If players split the first two sets, a 10-point Super Tie-Breaker is played instead of a third set.
• Scheduling: Starting times will be emailed after Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Players must report to the scorer's desk 15 minutes prior to their match time.
• Limits: Players may participate in no more than two tournament events.
• Awards: Awards will be presented to winners and finalists.

The tournament offers Single Elimination play across the following NTRP levels:

• Singles: 3. 0, 3. 5, 4. 0, and Open (4. 5+)
• Doubles: 6. 0, 7. 0, 8. 0, and Open (8. 5+)
• Mixed Doubles: 6. 0, 7. 0, 8. 0, and Open (8. 5+)
