Meeting Overview The Ebensburg Municipal Authority is scheduled to hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 4:00 p. m. Authority Members: Chair: Gerald McMullen V-Chairman: Eric Rummel Secretary/Treasurer: Renee Martin-Nagle Members: Heather Abbs, Randy Seymour Manager: Kelly Cook Agenda Highlights Consent Agenda (Routine Items) The following items are considered routine and will be acted upon by a single motion unless specific discussion is requested: Approval of minutes from the January 23, 2023 meeting. Approval of the Financial Statement for January 2023. Approval of bills for February 2023. Inframark Reports Wastewater Treatment Plant: Mike Montgomery will provide a report on projects and activities. Water Treatment Plant: Luke Byrne will provide a report on projects and activities. Engineer Updates High Street Waterline Project: Approval is requested for Contractor Payment Request #7 from W. A. Petrakis in the amount of $14,206. 24. PENNVEST Requisition: Approval is requested for reimbursement request #8 in the amount of $20,184. 47. Manor Drive and Lovell Park Sanitary Line Replacement: Bids were opened on February 20th. Continental Construction was the apparent low bidder at a price of $1,127,233. 00. The project involves installing approximately 3,500 linear feet of gravity sewer main to address structural deficiencies. General Business 2022 Audit: Members have received a copy of the audit completed by Wessel & Company. Nathan’s Divide: A motion is proposed to approve the construction of a pavilion and small shed by Nathan’s Divide Watershed Education Center, Inc. This is contingent on compliance with lease terms, permitting requirements, and receipt of professional engineering certifications. Sidewalk and Curbing Project 2023: New bids were opened on February 23rd. The total project cost is $136,827.88 . Hawbaker Construction: $342,821. 00 CH&D Enterprises: $136,827. 88 (Low Bidder) Ameriserv Commitment Letter: The Authority is taking out a loan to finance engineering fees for various projects. A commitment letter has been submitted for $622,000 at a 4. 25% interest rate for 54 months. Other Items Solicitor: Consideration of legal service agreements for LGUDA for Solicitor-Attorneys CJ Webb and Blair Pawlowski. Operations & Maintenance: Josh Surkovich will report on public works department activities. Executive Session The meeting will conclude with an executive session to receive advice from legal counsel.
