Overview

This document is the 2025 Annual Drinking Water Quality Report for the Ebensburg Municipal Authority (PWSID: 4110009). Water Sources

The authority utilizes a combination of local reservoirs and purchased water:

• Local Sources: Old Reservoir #1 and New Reservoir #2, located on Tanner Street near the treatment plant in the Borough and Cambria Township.
• Purchased Source: Water is also purchased from the Greater Johnstown Water Authority’s Saltlick Reservoir Plant.
• Treatment: Local water is combined before treatment at the plant, while purchased water is treated before entering the Ebensburg system.

Contaminant Monitoring Results

The report lists detected levels for various chemical contaminants, disinfectants, and metals. All results were within safe limits (Violation Y/N: N).

Chemical Contaminants

• Fluoride: Detected at 0. 89 ppm (Limit: 2 ppm).
• Haloacetic Acids: Detected at 41. 8 ppb (Limit: 60 ppb).
• Total Trihalomethanes: Detected at 67. 5 ppb (Limit: 80 ppb).
• Barium: Detected at 0. 037 ppm (Limit: 2 ppm).
• Chlorine: Detected at 1. 90 ppm (Limit: 4. 0 ppm).

Lead and Copper

• Lead: The 90th percentile value was 1. 11 ppb (Action Level: 15 ppb). No sites exceeded the action level.
• Copper: The 90th percentile value was 0. 177 ppm (Action Level: 1. 3 ppm). No sites exceeded the action level.

Disinfectant Residual

• Chlorine: The lowest detected level at the entry point was 0. 81 ppm (Minimum Required: 0. 20 ppm).

Health and Safety Information

• Vulnerable Populations: The report notes that individuals with compromised immune systems (e. g. , cancer patients, organ transplant recipients, HIV/AIDS patients) and infants may be more vulnerable to contaminants.
• Source Water Assessment: A state assessment identified potential susceptibility to road deicing materials, accidental spills, septic systems, and agricultural runoff. However, the overall risk of significant contamination is considered low.
